Los Angeles, CA—Loren Cribbs is a Third Place winner at The BookFest Awards Spring 2025 for the book titled Wings to Rise above Divorce. The book is honored in the Religion-Christianity category.

The BookFest honors authors who create outstanding works of fiction and nonfiction. The BookFest's mission is rooted in the belief that literature has transformative power and, in a desire to support and celebrate those who create it.

Desireé Duffy, Founder of The BookFest, emphasizes, “Now more than ever, it's essential to honor authors and creatives for their crucial role in shaping the stories that define our humanity. Books transport us to different worlds, offer new adventures, and allow us to reflect on our own lives while fostering empathy. By celebrating the accomplishments of authors, we elevate literature and, in turn, elevate ourselves.”

Cribbs says, "Being selected as a winner of The BookFest Awards is an incredible honor. I am grateful to be recognized for the hard work and dedication that went into creating Wings to Rise above Divorce. I hope this award will inspire others to pursue their own literary passions and help those who are divorced find a resource for hope."

About Loren Cribbs

Loren is a marketing consultant for tech start-ups. She is a ghostwriter for tech founders and CEOs writing articles for Forbes. During her divorce, God prompted her to write her debut book as a work of nonfiction to help others struggling with divorce, separation, or marriage wounds. After decades of building brands, writing for others, and helping them find their voices, Loren found it was time to tell her own story for God’s glory. Loren received undergraduate degrees in English and political science from Washington & Jefferson College and a master’s in strategic public relations from the George Washington University. She’s a born-and-raised Pittsburgh girl (and sports fan) but moved to DC multiple times. She finds her best writing inspiration when she’s near water—and travels often to keep the ideas coming.
